The Robert R. Jones Public Library has added an opportunity for our patrons to access library resources through Curbside Pickup.  We extend this service to to all Illinois PriarieCat library card holders.  Curbside Pickup is restricted to only items owned by Robert R. Jones Public Library.

 

Hours of Service

Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Thursday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Curbside Pickup Step-by-Step​

 

How Do I Request Materials?

  • Use our online catalog to search for items currently available.

  • Place items on hold and choose Robert R. Jones Public Library District as location for pickup.

Curbside Instructions
PrairieCat is the name of our online catalog. To log in, use your entire library card number.  Your password should be the last four digits of your library card number.

How Will I Know When My Materials Are Ready?

  • Check the status of your requests by clicking on the My Account link in the upper right corner on the PrairieCat catalog homepage.  Then click on the Holds link on the left-hand side of the menu.

You will see the title, status, pickup location, and freeze option of all active holds on your account.

How Do I Pick Up My Materials?

  • When an item's STATUS says, "Ready. Must pick up by..."  your item(s) are ready for pickup.

Once items are ready for pickup, you can drive to the Library's parking lot and call to notify staff that you are there for a pickup.

  • Once items are ready for pickup, drive to the library's parking lot and call 309-799-3047 to notify staff.

  • Have your library card bar-code available, either roll down a rear window, or pop open your vehicle's trunk so staff can safely deliver your materials.

Your Materials Will Be Brought to your Vehicle

  • Staff will check out your items, put them in a plastic bag, and place the bag in the backseat or trunk of your car.

How Do I Return My Materials?

  • All items can be returned via our outdoor book-drop. Curbside Pickup staff will not be able to touch or take your materials for return.

  • Please note that all returns will be quarantined for seven days.

 

Important Service Notes:

  • Curbside Pickup will only be available when staff availability permits.

  • There is no limit on how many items may be requested per day.
