Step aboard a unique educational experience like no other! The Mobile Museum of Tolerance (MMOT), the first of its kind in the United States, is coming to our library for two impactful days of interactive learning and reflection. Powered by the Simon Wiesenthal Center and based on the world-renowned Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, the MMOT is a 30-seat, wheelchair-accessible mobile classroom that uses immersive technology, multimedia presentations, and expert facilitation to challenge antisemitism, racism, and all forms of hate.
Led by licensed Illinois educators, the MMOT offers age-appropriate, thought-provoking workshops that explore themes such as propaganda, discrimination, and dehumanization—while promoting tolerance, kindness, and empathy. This free experience is open to the public and suitable for middle school students through adults.
